Material Requirements

Advertisements should be supplied electronically via the Quickcut delivery system. Quickcut holds all our specifications and will check that incoming material meets the requirements. For more information contact Quickcut on 02 9938 7500 or visit www.quickcut.com.au

If material cannot be supplied via Quickcut it should be supplied electronically on CD or zip disc with a colour proof. Files should be in Mac format, preferably as a Quark Xpress5 document, including all fonts used. Otherwise EPS files - Illustrator (up to version 10), Freehand, Photoshop - or others which can be placed in Quark.

High resolution PDFs are acceptable. They must be a minimum of 300DPI in resolution, saved as CMYK. All fonts must be embedded. All fonts must be outlined, scans and EPS files must be supplied with all colours created in CMYK. We do not accept FTP server downloads. Do not supply colours created in RGB. Scanned images should have a resolution of 300 dpi at their final size. A colour proof must be supplied.

The publisher will only be responsible for accurate colour reproduction of a digital file if a colour digital proof is supplied in accordance with 3DAP guidelines. See www.3dap.com.au for details of approved proofing systems.
PMS colours will be matched as closely as possible using CMYK colours, however there are many PMS colours that cannot be matched closely using CMYK. Special PMS colours can be printed by prior arrangement, but an additional charge of $800 per colour will apply.
