EMERGING PHOTOGRAPHER OF THE YEAR

HOW TO ENTER

Entrants should submit a portfolio of six images electronically. Each image should be no larger than 2MB and no smaller than 500KB. You may submit a series or a selection.

In addition to the six images, you must supply a photograph of yourself, your name, street address, email address and phone number, accompanied by a statement of less than 100 words outlining your photographic interests, photographic work and career aspirations.

CLOSING DATE

Entries should be received by February 20, 2009.

JUDGING

Judging will take place in March 2009. Portfolios will be judged by the photographers voted as finalists in the 11 other categories of Australia's Top Photographers 2009.

A winner and finalists will be determined by a points system based on first, second and third choice of each judge.

The results will be announced in April 2009 and published in the May/June issue of Capture magazine.

CONDITIONS

« Entrants must be under 35, not represented by an agent, and not shooting full-time professionally for more than three years.
« Entries will not be returned to entrants unless specifically requested.
« Copyright of the entries remains with the photographer, however by entering this competition entrants grant Capture magazine and Yaffa Publishing Group the right to use submitted images and text for promotional purposes in connection with Australia's Top Photographers Awards only.
« Yaffa Publishing Group will co-ordinate the judging and will have the final say if casting votes are required or eligibilities need to be determined.
« There is no entry fee.
