Barra will take a wide variety of lures depending on whether you are casting or trolling for them. Casting is best with diving minnows or rattlers.

Trolling is best with deep divers. Big barra will eat pretty big lures too. When you are casting lures for them, you need to cast very close to the snags where barra live.

It is a good idea to practice casting to make sure you can cast accurately.

If the water is dirty use a dark coloured or even a black lure. They can see them better.
