For both rock and estuary fishing, once you can get weed and learn how to put it on a hook properly, you can single out luderick. For berley mix some chopped up weed with fine sand. Don't use too much berley though as it can spread the fish out too much. A float rig is the best way to fish with weed for luderick.

If you like estuary fishing, luderick will also eat baits like blood worms and nippers. Try around weed beds or bridge pylons. You will need fairly light line for them as they can be scared off by line that is too thick. Use a sinker small enough so that it moves with the tide. The luderick will sit on the bottom and wait for the tide to bring food to them.
